HTC Shift — More deets & specs

While the iPhone is taking the center stage in all those hypes, here comes HTC to steal a bit (if not a lot). There seems to be an internal document (might be a leak) that has more information on the device and more specifications according to UMPC Portal, which might just be the case.

Recapping the UMPC updates

There are quite a few updates.

  • Steve over at UMPC Portal is showing off a UMPC powered by solar systems. He also runs another blog named Solar UMPC, where he writes about the Solar as alternative energy for UMPCs. Check out the videos

Ruggedbook — it’s only Semi-Rugged though

A company names has unveiled its new UMPC named the “Ruggedbook”, with the second generation of UMPCs that are already out there, this looks and has the specifications of the first version except this sports a 1.2Ghz Via processor. The interesting fact is that it sports PCMCIA slot.
