Remember the SPH-P9000 [deets here], samsung is ready to launch it’s successor.

The device will have
- 5″ screen touch screen
- Windows XP
- 30 GB HDD
- WiMax
and we assume it would have the rest of the features that we usually need in a UMPC. The main differentiating factor being a full foldable QWERTY keyboard.

We’re confused, Lets see what we have — an UMPC from fujitsu. How is it called?

- Fujitsu Lifebook U810 — as it will be called in the US
- Fujitsu Lifebook FMV U8240 when it was initially launched
- Fujitsu loox U in japan
- Fujitsu U1010 in Singapore & Malaysia
- … and there might be more that we are not aware of
Luckily they all sport almost same specs and from the same company. Fujitsu US has a lading page announcing the U810 as the “Small Wonder”. You can sign up with your email to get notified when it becomes available(mid september). Gizmodo has a unit in their hands and they are saying September 18th to be exact. They also have some good pics and initial thoughts on the product. The price on this device seems to be aggressive and attractive.

GottabeMobile gotta HTC Shift and Hugo is excited about the product and states
… In summary I would have to say that this is one of the BEST Ultra Mobile PC I have ever had the pleasure of spending time with. If I were a manufacturer of a UMPC, or with a UMPC about to hit the market, then I would be shaking in my boots given what The HTC Shift is capable of. “I put my order down right away!” …

As for the specs, nothing has changed from what we knew. Read more about them here or here. Head over to GottaBeMobile for a more details and a great video

Until now the ultra portable was a whole different story. With the introduction on UMPCs the definition became a little harder. Here are a few pictures of Fujitsu ultra portable and the Ultra Mobile PC.
