Asus has published the details of the Eee PC. If you have been thinking that $800 or above is too much for an UMPC take a look at this. Though initially this was supposed to be launched at $199, the price has gone up to $299 – $399 depending on the configuration. Personally even after the price hike this seems like a good deal. Note that these devices sports a SSD and comes loaded with Linux and weighs less than a kg (that’s ~2 lbs)
