We just received our R2H from newegg. May be for the coming week you’ll see tones of stuff about the R2H. We’ll try to get as much details, test results, review, and install software on the Asus R2H. May be in next few hours we’ll update ya with stunning pictures of the unpacking of the R2H.

… actually we paid like a cent less than that $998.99 at newegg …
BTW: If any of you have any questions regarding the device, go ahead send in your comments and we’ll try to answer as much we can.

Hi,
I am here in HK and they are pricing the R2H at US 1,400. No stock and need to wait 2 week after ordered.
Jsut want to know if there is software that comes with the R2H similar to the AVS Now in Samsung Q1.
FYI, the Q1 is priced at around US 1,250 with an extend battery and case.

Hi Dannis,
I’m sorry but out here in the US the product is priced at $999 taxes & shipping. But the device does come with some great software (not to mention some that you really don’t need at all) Yes there is ASUS software a similar to the ACS Now.
I was indeed happy/surprised to see that my R2H did ship with the extended batter pack, a mini /usable mouse, stand and a beautiful & handy case. Look for the pictures in the next posting.
Thanks
Joe
Hello!
I also purchased the R2H through Newegg.com. Seeing the pictures of the other post makes me regret going for the cheapest shipping option though
… Since we bought from the same reseller I believe mine will be pretty much identical as the one you’ve just received. The larger battery pack is certainly welcome! Anyway, I would like to confirm that it doesn’t come with an external keyboard. I guess I should start looking for a bluetooth one to use it with the R2H.
Enjoy the new device!!!

Hi Joe,
Glad to hear that you guys got a pretty good deal there in the US.
I ordered the Q1 instead of R2H.
thanks
dannis
Michel: Thanks – You are correct, it does ship with the double battery pack, but not the keyboard.
Dannie: Hope you’d have fun with the Q1. It’s still a good UMPC!
Ok, feel free to ignore my huge list of questions (some are rather noobish), but here they are :p
-Extended Battery? How many compared to the normal battery?
-No DVB Tuner thingie? I hear that they had a USB dongle for that in Europe.
-With the GPS software, what is it directed towards? Someone trying to get from A to B or would it be suitable for someone who is bored and wants to see what else is in the neighbourhood (like me :p)?
For your review it would be awesome if you could give an opinion on whether the R2H (as well as Tablet XP) are suitable for the note taking/being able to use msn on the go/multimedia users.
Thanks! And enjoy your R2H (send it to me if your a little tired out, I’ll keep it company :$)
What software comes with it from Newegg? Office?
i hope that review will be soon..
what about the processor?
and please take some photos, where you are holding R2H in your hand. these pictures ae best for me, thx
where oh where can you buy this baby ?!
So does normal windows XP software work on the Windows XP tablet edition? How do you instal stuff on from a CD’s though?
I would be interested to know if you can charge/power the device off a USB connection.
Can’t wait for the review.
