Samsung has jumped in to the holiday mood. Yes they have some really funny (well you decide) ads and a mini site for the promotion of the Q1.
Oh by the way they also have a FREE give away of the Q1, Two winners every week until December 17.

Microsoft is back with a contest, this time it’s not an UMPC but $600 for 3 and Slingbox for 5. Go ahead shoot some creative pictures and send them.
Submit a photo (no more then 1 MB in size) that depicts the potential power of a UMPC. You do not necessarily have to be in the picture - and though it would be great to include if you have one, you don’t have to feature an authentic UMPC to qualify. We are looking for entries that creatively demonstrate the potential of the UMPC to break the boundaries of PC capabilities in more mobile situations. The picture should illustrate how your life or lifestyle is or could be enhanced by a UMPC.
Send your entry to umpcpro@microsoft.com by midnight PT on 7/23/2006. Winners will be announced on the site on or about 8/4/2006.
We’ll review the entries and pick three winners and five runners-up. The three top winners each get a $600 (USD) cash prize. Five runners-up will get a Slingbox™ device, or a cash equivalent if the winner is in a location where they are not available.

Well well well, what do we have here, Origami Project has a contest “I Love UMPC” on. Go ahead, who knows you might be one of the winners to walk away with a Samsung Q1 UMPC and a Sling Player.
Write an essay (no more than 250 words!) telling us why you think the UMPC concept is so great and what plans you have for yours once you get one. We’re looking for entries that fit the theme and are creative and original, and for our sanity, it helps if they’re well-written too. 
Yeah Yeah! we know, it sucks when UMPCians in other countries (other than the US) can not participate. Sorry guys ! So does that look like somthing you want, go ahead give it a shot. (if you a legal resident of the US)
