First Impression: Awesome.
So far so good, I bought the Samsung Q1 and returned the device within a couple of days, but this one is for me. I love the device so far (well its been only 6 hours since I started using it). The unit feels a bit heavy for the size and may be it’s just the first impression but believe me its really sturdy and has a great feel with the brushed metal finish.
I’m still getting used to the device. I was really surprised and happy to see that Asus has bundled the extended battery with it (not sure if it will be the default for all US models though). They also throw a case, mini mouse (still handles very well) and screen cleaning cloth. Make sure to come back for more detailed review.

Very sweet looking. Off the topic I was wondering if that flash slide show is done by hand or does it create the thumbs for you based on a directory? if it does do it automatically is there somewhere I can get it so I can use it for my family pictures on my website?

in Spain you can buy the R2H at any Media Markt superstore for 899 euros. As they do pan European purchasing and campaigns, eventually they hit their Italian store, too already.
interestingly, they are not yet being distributed through Asus regular distribution channels, but Asus Spain says that at least here Media Markt’s exclusive period will expire on 11 November and then it will become available through other retailers.
so probably you don’t have to wait until January.
BTW, using flash images prevents us smartphone users from being able those images!
Great show, don’t forget to remove the protective transparent film over the camera!
