Even before the UMPCs there was OQO. The only problem was the price, recently the company lowered the pricing on their devices. These are now starting from $1199 very close what the UMPCs are selling for. Looks like future versions of the OQO might sport even more features.
The next OQO handheld PC, which could be out as soon as the Consumer Electronics Show in January, will have a brighter screen, improved keyboard, more memory, a bigger hard drive and wide-area wireless capability, all for about the same price as the current model.
