Pre-Order(!) your Asus R2H

You may wonder how this company(UK based) makes it available for pre-order while Asus has not made any announcement yet on the availability. We have no idea about the company neither we approve anything, but looks like they seem to know the launch date (25th September 2006) and the price of £779.95

UPDATE: The ETA has been removed from the site (thanks to Neil) | Asus R2H -Where are you? when are you coming?

According to the site, they have 3 in stock but it would be shipped on or after 25th of September and the pricing might vary slightly! I wonder why they can not ship if they have 3 already in stock!

A little suspicous if you ask me, a lot of sellers make up an exact date before it is announced i.e. Gamestation who do that all the time. I think what Asus said still looks like it is going to be true; July/August. As for 3 in stock, a little strange, Asus would not have already sent them to the manufacturers if they had a september release. They might be expecting that many, who knows?

    Just my two pence.

Yep, same here. I dont think they have anything in stock at all!

I have just called this company to ask where they got their info, and they said that they deal with official ASUS suppliers, so they will have got it from them.

The reason they are showing as in-stock, is “apparently” to keep the item showing on the site. However, if that was the case, why not just say 1 in stock…not 3.

The ETA has now been removed from the website.

    Is it coming…isn’t it coming……:)

    Their site now says:

“This product will be in stock on Wednesday 20 September, 2006.”

It seems it may now be time to get excited after reading Steves (carrypad.com) post on origamiproject.com.

    Here’s hoping :)
