Remember the SPH-P9000 [deets here], samsung is ready to launch it’s successor.

The device will have
- 5″ screen touch screen
- Windows XP
- 30 GB HDD
- WiMax
and we assume it would have the rest of the features that we usually need in a UMPC. The main differentiating factor being a full foldable QWERTY keyboard.
Samsung to unveil its Mobile WiMAX UMPC [Aving USA]

Why are all of the US computer companies so clueless? I am in the heart of Silicon Valley California and everybody hates thumb keyboards! They use them becuase they have no choice but everyone I talk to has been wanting the same thing I do, a pocket computer with a real keyboard. Finally Samsung in Korea has got it right but the product is not here in the US; their first generation never made it here either! I would buy one right now! All of the existing umpc devices are too large and have no real keyboard. This would sell like hot cakes for the business community! Get a clue HP, Toshiba, Dell, etc.
I agree this is the first functional mobile device a normal business person can really use on the go. I would buy one right now! When will they be for sale in the United States?
This computer just puts all the other UMPC’s to shame. This is the only one so far that I could see as a laptop replacement. I will keep looking to see if it can be purchased here in the US. Great device!
I’ve been looking at all of the new ces 2008 devices and am amazed that none are as good as this computer. The computer designers should realize that if you now can cram full windows in your pocket, that we want the same type of input that we already are used to for windows - a touch type keyboard.
I’m Malaysian and have been looking high and low for this gadget to no avail: Malaysia, Singapore… have even gotten family and friends to look out of the SPH 9200 in Korea… no luck at all. I wonder if it’s already on the shelves… most frustrating!
