UMPCs for the Holidays

Tablet PC2 has released a list for Santa. This includes the Ultra Mobile PCs. Surprisingly Asus R2H is not listed in it. If you are planning on a UMPC for this Holiday for yourself or someone this list will help.

The principal (and continued) problem of the UMPC market is – price at retail. We [consumers] are asked to pay $1000.-$2700. for 20-80 gigs of eye strain computing. Although some current models have improved screen size (7″); the retail price has been implausible. May I venture to say – unjustifiable? If you [manufacture] are trying to put your product in the hands of the buying public; price the machines to sell. Are you in the UMPC market to stay or make a quick buck?
